Recently while checking my e-mails in the morning I got a mail from Google+ asking me to customize my Google+ profile with a custom url containing my name. Since after the launch of Google+ it is using unique set of numbers to allot it as a user name to each unique individual's account. But problem with that system was it was quite difficult for an average person to remember those junk of numbers, even the account owner also can't remember the three digits in a row.So following the trend of facebook and twitter, Google+ has introduced a new system of giving custom url to established G+ account. Custom url system is already in use by facebook and twitter, now G+ is also following the same thing. No matter what big companies are doing but surely this step of G+ is going to win lot of appreciation from it's users including me also :)
Let us see the procedure of getting custom url for your G+ account.
How To Setup Custom Url?
- Click on Get Url
- You will land on your profile page, wait for a minute
- Or other option will be present in Links option of profile.
- Click on it, then
- After confirmation your username will be changed.
Final Words
This feature is now available only to established users only. If your account whether be it Google+ profile or Google+ page, you'll receive e-mail regarding the confirmation of custom url of your page or profile. Google+ has announced that this feature will be available only to limited users only, so general users will have to wait to avail this feature. So wait for your e-mail.
