How to Make Single Name Facebook Account (no last name)

Since a billion people are already on Facebook, it is very difficult to be different than others in appearance on Facebook, yes I know you can have a cool dp and a catchy cover photo but that is not enough. Why not to try something more unique and different that can make others curious and can give them a cool and smart impression of yours. There are possibly different ways but one of them is removing your last name (that Facebook does not allow it by default) and showing people your account with single name. A Facebook account with only first name will definitely make (at least some of, if not all) your friends think that you are a tech geek and you know something more than them. As I said earlier, you can neither create a Facebook account without last name nor you can remove your last time from existing account, you need a trick for that and this is how you can apply this trick.

Important

  • You will need to use proxy settings to apply this trick (explained in the article below)
  • Once you have applied the trick, you need to remove all proxy settings that you applied by following this article.

Step#1 - Changing Proxy Settings

First you need to change proxy settings in your internet browser and use any of these IP addresses. If an IP is not working, try the other one from the list.
  • 119.252.160.34
  • 36.76.182.173
  • 61.247.45.35
  • 180.250.169.14
  • 180.250.82.188
  • 119.252.160.34
  • 219.83.100.195
  • 110.139.125.230
  • 202.87.254.156
Port: 8080

Mozilla Firefox users can find proxy setting options from Tools > Options > Advanced > Settings. It will then look like this:

Google Chrome users can find proxy settings from Menu > Settings > Show advanced settings > Change proxy settings. Click on the LAN settings. It will then look like this:

Click OK to apply the settings and try to open Facebook. Keep in mind, if one IP from the list does not work, choose the other one from the list. You just need to change the IP, port will remain the same.

Step#2:  Removing your Last Name in Facebook

  • Open your Facebook Account > Account Settings
  • Change Language to Bahasa Indonesia
  • Save it and refresh your page
  • Now edit your Name, remove your last name, enter your password and Save it.
  • That's it. (now logout and remove all proxy settings that you applied for this trick)
