Custom Redirects option in blogger control panel allows you to do many things, depending upon your creativity. As the name suggests this feature is for redirecting any link to any new address you want.
For eg. You have any blog say it Blog T which deals about technology and gadgets having near around 1000 posts. Let your blog be a very famous among all the tech lovers and receives a well organic traffic. Now one of the posts of your blog i.e. How To Use Android Install Your PC? is very popular having lot's of backlinks from other blogs, who shared your article in their blog posts. But for some reasons if your article is been removed by you or you changed it's url while editing the posts, then anyone trying to access the posts from the backlinks will receive a " Page Not Found-404" error.
With Custom Redirects you can redirect old Url of the posts to newly modified posts.

Trick
Now let's see a trick that we can do using custom redirect feature. You have seen many HTML based websites or Wordpress sites on hovering the mouse to the navigation menu bar you see a link on the left-bottom side of the web-page in your browser.
Those links are like below
http://www.example.com/Blog/
http://www.example.com/Technology/
http://www.example.com/Gadgets/
http://www.example.com/Reviews/
But in Blogger this is different, you will see a messy type url on hovering over the link of navigation menu-bar.
Below are some examples of it.
http://www.example.blogspot.com/search?max-results=10
http://www.example.blogspot.com/search/label/Technology/
http://www.example.blogspot.com/search/label/Gadgets/
http://www.example.blogspot.com/search/label/Reviews/
With the help of Custom Redirect feature you can modify it giving more professional look to your blog.
■ Open Blog Dashboard → Settings → Search Preferences
■ Open " Custom Redirects ? "
■ In the above blank box fill the simplified Url as shown in image below and in below box add the exact url of the page you want to be opened on redirection.
■ Hit the save option marked with red color.
■ After saving the redirection link click on save button.
■ Now open Blog Dashboard → Template → Html Editor
■ Find Navigation codes.
■ As you see in <a href='/Blog '> is written instead of
<a href='http://www.example.blogspot.com/search?max-results=10'>
■ So after setting Custom Redirect you don't need to write whole piece of code after " href ", simply write the word as it is written in upper box of Custom Redirect.
(This box is for the url "from", and below one is for "to")
In a Nutshell
Well this is a trick which came out of a creative mind and I took a little effort and lots of care to share this with all. To say obviously and genuinely it gives a professional look to your blogger's blog
Though motive of this feature is somethings else but with creative mind inside our head we can also do many cool things with it, as a juggler plays with the eggs that we consider is only for frying and eating. There are lot's of possibility around us so is with the blogger too, and as soon as I learn a new possibility about blogger I share it with you all.
I have tried to make this tutorial as easy as possible even if there is any problem then feel free to contact me leaving your valuable comments.
Enioy :)
